Hi! My name is Wynn Therese Navarro, and you can call me Wynn – yep I know, as in Wynn Las Vegas hotels.
I pretty got the hang of life on my own. Took scholarships, chances, and even do full-time jobs while studying in high school. It’s the typical eldest-child-is-the-breadwinner story. I got myself to college for Civil Engineering through a scholarship. Things were going just right when suddenly in the middle of my freshman year, my father died. BOOM! I’ve hit rock bottom. I mean, he’s not at home because of domestic issues but still, we got support from him nevertheless, right?
So, I had to stop and forget about the scholarship. The immediate job for a college undergrad like me was in the BPO industry. I learned how to use GDS systems, interpret billing information, and manage multi-travel bookings. I simply gave it my all and pushed myself over the limit. But everything was all paid for when a recommendation came up for me to become a Process Trainer. I was just on cloud 9, but I did not stop. I kept striving and persevering every day.
I decided to transfer to a different company months after for a better opportunity. As usual in the industry, starting from entry-level, I got hired as Process Executive – Voice (Customer Service Representative equivalent) from which my role soon changed to a Process Trainer.
Being a trainer, my responsibilities go beyond classroom facilitation. My trainees, despite being new hires, are either fresh people with no experience at all to a tenured mix of rank-and-files to supervisors and operations managers. An assessment and balance of the class’ learning pace is a must to treat them equally as trainees.
On the other hand, whenever I’m not in front of the class, I’m doing admin tasks. That includes sending reports to the business leaders, paperwork that goes with various departments, creating files that aim to minimize time spent calculating and formatting data, identifying gaps and assessing service levels as well as presenting the associates’ performances to the business leaders at meetings and deliberations which I booked the calendar appointments myself.
When I’m off from work, I like to cook, sing with a wee interest in guitars, playing games in genres of MMORPG, MOBA, FPS.. name it! I just love how it stimulates my reaction time and critical thinking skills. Oh!.. and long road trips always take my soul away.
When my son came, everything seemed to fall into place. The company migrated to a work-from-home set-up and now I could be at his arm’s reach. But there is something inside me that urges me to explore. Then I knew I have to start moving differently, for him and my family. Old keys just don’t unlock new doors, do they?
I’m a fast learner and am highly receptive to feedback. Everything that I’ve gone through molded me to be highly adaptive to changes. I strive to become the better version of myself every day, to learn more, and to perform beyond expectations.
I became independent, driven, and effective. I can work with less supervision or participate in a team. I am passionate about delivering outstanding work to my clients.
I look forward to seeing you achieve your goals.
