Win Russel Villar – Patient Care Coordinator, Customer Service Representative
Hi, my name is Win Russel Villar, but you can call me Win. I hold a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Social Science. A few years ago, the idea of thriving in a work-from-home setup seemed almost foreign to me. However, the onset of the pandemic forced a swift change in my career path, compelling me to adapt quickly in order to maintain my livelihood. To my surprise, working from home turned out to be a remarkably comfortable and stress-free experience.
My career began in 2019 as an ESL teacher, where I honed my skills in communication, patience, and instructional techniques. This role provided a strong foundation in managing diverse learners and tailoring my approach to meet individual needs. As I encountered new challenges, I was drawn to the BPO industry, which offered a variety of opportunities across different sectors. My transition into this field was driven by a desire to explore these diverse roles and expand my skill set.
I was fortunate to secure a position as a Customer Service Representative. This role allowed me to leverage my strong communication skills and attention to detail, while also teaching me to handle a wide range of customer inquiries and concerns. The pandemic makes a shift to remote work, and my company was supportive in providing the equipment needed to facilitate a smooth transition.
Despite the uncertainty that came with this new work environment, I quickly adapted and excelled. I gained valuable experience in various capacities, including as a travel support specialist and patient care coordinator. Each of these roles presented unique challenges and opportunities for growth, allowing me to develop a versatile skill set. My ability to work independently, coupled with my collaborative skills, enabled me to thrive both as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
The remote work setup has proven to be an ideal fit for me, striking a perfect balance between professional responsibilities and personal fulfilment. It has not only provided financial stability but also allowed me to spend more quality time with my family. This work arrangement has reinforced my belief in the benefits of flexibility and work-life balance.
I am deeply committed to advancing my career by continuously acquiring new skills and knowledge. This commitment is driven by a desire to enhance both my professional capabilities and personal growth. My approach to work is characterised by diligence, a goal-oriented mindset, and resourcefulness, making me a strong candidate for a Virtual Assistant role. I am eager to apply my broad skill set and experiences to new challenges, I am confident that I can contribute effectively and grow within your organisation.
