Two years ago, I had applied to Virtual Assistant Team. I've heard it from a friend who talked about the virtual firm she was currently working with and how great her experience is and so I decided to apply. There may be no client that I can potentially work with during that time because I haven't heard from them for a while and thought to myself, there was no opportunity for me to work with the great virtual firm my friend was talking about. I've continued with my freelancing and was able to acquire further work experience.
Two years later, I've received communication from Virtual Assistant Team that they have a potential client for me and it's like saying "Hello!" to an old friend!
Deciding to work with this great virtual firm was a good decision. It was 2019 and I had just resigned from a thankless corporate job and was thinking of either resting for a bit or going into business. I didn’t have financial stability, so I started to shop around for a new job – one that would hopefully be my last. If you’re like me and you’re constantly trying to find permanency, job hunting isn’t a fun past-time activity.
After some months, I was finally referred by a former co-worker to Virtual Assistant Team. I was curious. I wanted to work from home because I’ve had it with waking up in the morning, commuting and going through grueling traffic jams to and from work, missing out on precious hours when I could have been doing something else. I have been in a digital role for 7 years or so, and it will be almost a year from this time that I’ve joined the Virtual Assistant Team. I am blown away at how top notch their team of support is for me and the rest of the VAs. I am grateful for the value and freedom given to me to work, explore, learn, and grow.
