Theresa Jane L. Te – Executive Assistant
Hi! I’m Theresa Jane, but you can call me ‘TJ” or just “T”. I have a degree in Biology but never really got the chance to land a career related to Biology.
I was born and raised in the small city of Roxas, which is also known as the seafood capital of the Philippines. With a population of less than 200,000 people, it’s a rather peaceful and relaxed city. As you may have already guessed, we get to enjoy many kinds of seafood here and at a really low price.
I was born into a lower-middle class family. Since we were not rich, I remember having many challenges in life as I was growing up. Most of the time, the challenges arose when it was time to enroll in a school. I was always anxious if I could finish school or not. I guess that was the reason why even at a young age, I learned to value education. Our parents always reminded us that education was the only chance we had to make our lives better. As a result, I developed a sincere interest in reading and writing, and I’m glad I did!
Reading has broadened my horizon and opened my eyes to many things. It has helped me understand diverse experiences and principles. It introduced me to the likes of Tuthmosis III, Neville Goddard, and David Leiberman. It also took me to places like the Pyramids of Egypt and Hogwarts, to my delight!
I have extensive experience working as an Executive Assistant to C level executives of multinational companies. My solid experience in Office Administration and Operations Support, and background in HR and teaching English to foreign students have developed me to be confident, competitive, and careful at the same time.
I was an ESL teacher to foreign students for more than 11 years. I handled one-on-one and group classes online and offline. Being a teacher was a humbling experience as I was always reminded of how little I knew about the world and life. As a result, I was inspired to continue learning things.
I am currently a part-time consultant for an international company making English assessments for employees in different industries all over the globe. I’m also a blogger. In my free time, I maintain two blogs on WordPress. Blogging provides me with the channel to express my thoughts and creativity.
I’m grateful for the lessons I have learned from my diverse experiences, and I consider myself fortunate to have found opportunities I love and enjoy doing.
I have 6 furbabies who are also the source of my inspiration – it’s amazing what having pets can teach you and make you realize about yourself!
If I’m not listening to jazz lounge music, I’m listening to audiobooks. I am particularly interested in Self-help, Psychology, Leadership and Law of Attraction audiobooks.
I consider integrity, mindfulness, compassion, respect and resilience vital to one’s success in life. I also believe that each of us is capable of creating the life we dream of. What’s your take on this?
I look forward to knowing your thoughts on this, and I also look forward to knowing how I can help make things easier for you.
