Hi! My name is Shirlyn H. Carlos and you can call me Shy… but I am not shy at all when it comes to facing various challenges that my work would entail.
Over the years I have assumed a variety of roles where I gained skills, developed my character and attitude towards work. My professional experience kicked off as an Architectural Sales Officer for an electronic company. I have been in the sales force and a customer service driven industry for the most part of my professional life. Overlapping roles are administrative related tasks and responsibilities.
Exposure to diverse fields allowed me to hone my skills and capabilities. I have mastered the art of multi-tasking and time management. I have also been given the opportunity to work overseas which furthered my customer service and administrative skills.
As a person, I am very simple and a home-body. Watching documentaries and reading books are what I do during my spare time. As a member of the workforce, I am extremely organised and I always maintain a good disposition when put under pressure. I always run the extra mile to ensure that I deliver quality results. I can work well on my own as well as with a team. Whatever tasks I am presented with, I always see them as an opportunity to learn and a platform to exhibit my flexibility in meeting the business requirements.
As an assistant both live and virtually, I handled various tasks like email/calendar management, payroll/petty cash management, reconciliation, created estimates, invoices and purchase orders, scheduled and assigned jobs accordingly, ensured that a task is monitored closely from the time the complaint is received down to its completion. I also handled inbound and outbound calls doing collection, answering queries and customer concerns.
I am definitely computer literate and my spoken and written English proficiency are above average. I am a professional employee and I treat everyone with utmost respect. I believe in always putting personal touch in everything I do because the results of my work reflect who I am as an individual. I take criticisms in a constructive way because good or bad, there’s always a lesson to learn in everything. I am trainable and always open to new learnings.
Most importantly, I always learn to love and appreciate what I do because it is only then that one will be able to deliver outstanding results and exceed expectations.
I am confident that with my work experiences and work ethics, I will be a valuable addition to your team and an asset that will help you grow your business to a whole new level of productivity and professionalism.
