Sherry Magos – Customer Service Representative
Good day!
I took up Bachelor of Business Administration major in Management in one of the prestigious schools here in the Philippines – Silliman University. A month after finishing my degree, I immediately looked for a job to become independent from my parents.
I have been in the corporate world for 6 years now, which helped me gain and learn all the skills and knowledge about customer service. I started at Inspiro as a Customer Service Representative and a Fraud Specialist. My employment at Inspiro lasted for 2 years and 10 months and I ventured into another company which is Visaya Knowledge Process Outsource. I became a Debt Collection Specialist in one of the collection agencies in the United States. I handled inbound but mostly outbound calls. I negotiate with customers who have long due debt and help them by offering settlement plans. I can say that I am dedicated to my job and that’s why I always reach my quota and receive commissions. Even though I always have the quota, I still need enough funds that will suffice my kid’s needs. That is why I moved to another company which is Accenture Inc. I worked as a Client Success Manager that time and made sure that the customer’s retention was reached. I also learned how to make format emails since that is our way to communicate with the customer.
As a future Virtual Assistant, I feel that the skills that I gained from being a customer service representative would also come in handy with this field, as both have elements of assisting. I am also someone who is easy to train if needed. Learning new things is very important when you are a customer service representative and I also feel that the same applies to being a virtual assistant. I also understand that to become a VA, one needs to be reliable when it comes to finishing the tasks on time.
I am a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment so right now I am looking for a bigger challenge. If given a chance to be part of your team as a Virtual Assistant, you will never hear me whining about the workload and you will never question me about my attendance since I am a person with a commitment.
I know what I am getting into and I am ready to accept the challenges that come with it.
