Ryan Reloza – Customer Service Representative
Good day everyone. My name is Ryan-Jay Reloza, you can call me Ryan or Rj. I am 39 years old from Valenzuela City, Philippines. Happily married for 6 years, with 2 kids. 1 girl and a boy. I am a graduate of Business Management course at San Sebastian College Recoletos Manila. During my free time, I watch movies on Netflix and play with my kids.
I’ve been in the Customer Service industry since I started my career in the corporate world. The first two companies that I worked with were in the banking industry. Particularly in Union Bank of the Philippines and Citibank NA. Basically, I worked in the same position as customer service but the difference is that in Citibank, we also do cross-sell of bank products like loans, insurance, and credit cards.
At Citibank, I experienced being part of a specialized team that handles the VIP clients of the bank for both bank account and credit cardholders. Aside from that, I was assigned as a resolution officer catering for the escalated calls. After working there for almost 6 years, I transferred to Mirof comlink under their pizza delivery hotline account. I worked there as a supervisor/team leader. I handled 15 to 20 agents in my team. And my main responsibility is to make sure that the KPIs are met on a daily basis.
When I left Mirof, my wife and I started to manage a business which is a school canteen. We’ve been doing it for 5 years. But since our business is not open for the whole year (closed during school vacation) and at the same time we encountered some problems with the one who lead the school, I decided to go back again to the corporate world.
I was blessed enough that AXA Philippines gave me a chance to work for them as a Customer Care Executive. Like with my previous companies. The main responsibilities are to answer incoming calls for both the financial advisor and policy owners. We need to comply with their inquiries, requests, and complaints. I stayed with AXA for 6months because my contract with them is project-based only.
Come 2020, the pandemic hit the world. This is the time I heard the idea of working from home. Honestly, it is really a challenge to land a job as a freelancer. But for me, I am a son, a husband, and a father of 2. No matter how difficult it is. I’ll continue to do my best to get hired. I know that I can use the skills that I develop from my previous companies in this new world that I am entering now.
Thank you for reading my story and hoping to work with you soon.
