Rosielyn Fortich – General Virtual Assistant, Customer Service

rosielyn-fortich-vaHi there!

I am Rosielyn Fortich, you can call me Rosie, an aspiring Virtual Assistant. I am a wife and a mother of a cute, lovely boy. I studied Bachelor of Science in Technology Communication Management at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines. As I read Kara Chan’s story, I can reflect myself to her, I also would not have thought of myself as working from home, nor imagining as such. Sometimes in life you can’t be sure what will happen tomorrow. I didn’t expect that I would resign from my job because no one would look after my child. While being a fulltime mom, I thought that I could still work even if I was at home and still have a chance to be with my son and bond with my family. So, I started by attending Virtual Assistant seminars, I enrolled for Virtual Assistant trainings so that I could have a broad understanding of how to become a Virtual Assistant.

First, I actually worked for a feed mill company as a Customer Service Specialist, what I did was to enter orders from customers, invoice orders that could be released. I also coordinate with our warehouse so that I know the daily update on our inventory stocks so that I can fix schedules for my daily load outs. I also make weekly reports about the progress of sales, I also make a report if the customer has any complaints about the product and services.

rosielyn-fortich-vaNow I’m starting to look for virtual assistant jobs and what I can say is that it’s not that easy to find a client or agency because you have to show them what skills you have, and  you have to pass their assessment tests but I believe that if you just persevere and don’t lose confidence in yourself, you will be able to find a client, become part of an organisation that can give you everything you need and help you in your career and goals in life.

Working at home is one of the things I strive to achieve right now because I believe that apart from always being with my family, I can also give them a comfortable life.

My aim is to be part of the company that indulges professional growth which provides challenging and rewarding career while allowing me to utilise my knowledge and skills.
