Rica Abug – Administrative Assistant, eCommerce, Customer Service

Hello! I’m Rix.

I have a total of 5 years of experience in office administration, customer service, and eCommerce.

I graduated in 2015 and in the same year landed my first job as an administrative staff for the head office of a one-stop-shop remittance company. I was later on promoted to be the head of admin and oversee both the internal process and the operations side of the business. I am responsible for generating and sorting all reports, overseeing that our partnered outlets and customers get to have the best customer experience, and coordinate directly with our partnered service providers. I have stayed with the company for 2 years.

In 2017, I landed my first BPO job as a customer associate for a financial account based in the US. I simply attend to our customers’ inquiries, concerns, and requests related to their accounts. I handle 70-110 calls a day and a few emails.

My most recent job experience was with an eCommerce furniture company based in New York. I have worked with them since November 2019 as an order support agent and during my downtime, I help my teammates with the customer service side. My main job is to monitor and fulfill all the incoming orders across 10-15 eCommerce accounts. Etsy, Wayfair, Bed Bath and Beyond, Overstock, Amazon and etc. to name a few. Aside from entering and fulfilling orders, I also create/generate the labels and also book the shipments making sure that customers receive their orders on time. On the customer service side, I assist in our in-house ticketing system and attend to general inquiries.

I enjoyed all of my job experiences especially the most recent one. All of them strengthened my values and character. I have learned some of my knowledge and experience the fun way but mostly challenging. I have been more rationale, engaging, responsible, keen on details, and professional.

I would love to dedicate my time and effort as I take on this new journey with you as a virtual assistant. I hope I would be given the chance to learn from you and also impart the best of me that I can offer as an assistant.

On a more personal note, I am a first-time-mom of a 6month old baby boy. I never thought I would get to experience and love as hard as this. I am more driven now to be the best version of myself because of my young man. All of my interests and hobbies such as trekking, beach bumming, airsoft, and any spontaneous adventure are no match compared to a lazy day in bed with my baby boy. Life became simpler and more valuable to me now that I am a mom.
