Reycel Mae Angcaya – Customer Service Representative
My name is Reycel Mae Angcaya. You can call me Reyz. I am a Licensed Financial Advisor. I am 29 years old and I live in the Philippines. I took up BS Psychology for the reason that I wanted to be flexible when choosing my career and my thriving experience in life brought me where I am today. I also took up a Masters in Clinical Psychology but I need to get more units to finish the course. However, my plans changed and I was able to established traditional businesses like a coffee shop and selling beauty products and shoes from 2013-2017. This made me strong with facing the realities of engaging with different people and the principles I need to attain and learn in the process.
I’d describe myself as a person with a versatile skill-set, a lot of integrity, and a willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy a client/customer. Perhaps the best way to introduce myself is to share with you my career background.
I’ve been in the administrative and customer service industry for more than 9 years, and I still enjoy the challenges it brings.
I began my career as a Customer Service Representative with Teleperformance handling accounts such as Expedia as a Travel Specialist and 2 years as an Executive in Zillow, a Real Estate account where I assisted Brokers and agents in Selling and Buying. Since then I’ve developed essential skills in Business Process Outsourcing.
In 2015, I worked with TPG Telecom as HR Assistant, to HR Associate, and a few months later, I was promoted to HR Specialist in which I was able to handle the training and development and employee’s government benefits, and employees file documentation.
I also worked with United Health Care as a Healthcare Specialist, in which I work with Doctors and medical practitioners when it comes to Beneficiaries’ and Policy owners Insurance benefits and coverage. While enjoying helping other people, I achieved a lot of awards in our team and department during my stay.
This allowed me to become diverse. I welcomed a new opportunity in the Insurance industry. I am currently working as a Licensed Financial Advisor with Sun Life of Canada Philippines Inc. where I’ve been for 5 years now. I am enjoying my current freelance job in security, protection, wealth planning, and investments, where I secured over 500 Filipino lives since I started. I am driven and was able to attain elite recognition and medallions. Some of my major accomplishments include Platinum Awardee and Macaulay Club member. In my performance reviews, my Branch Manager always notes that she appreciates my professionalism and enthusiasm for the job.
Outside of work, I like to stay involved in my community, so I volunteer at Lion’s Club to do women empowerment talks and financial freedom/money management online workshops as well. I’m always grateful for the chance to do yoga and meditation, hiking, mountain climbing, cooking plant-based meals, and spending quality time with family and friends.
I’m ready to grow into a position where my efficiency can make a difference. I’m looking for an opportunity to take the next step in my career. I’m hoping to do so in an organisation like yours that works to improve the business process, which is something I’m passionate about. I want to end this year 2020 working in progress and start the year 2021 strong!
