Raya Angela Abalos – Customer Support

I have been working in the BPO industry for more than ten years now. I started working so I could help with my family’s expenses since we only had our dad to take care of us. My mum died when I was 10 years old and since then, we were taught by our dad how to be independent. I have two kids and I’m a single parent who is willing to do what it takes to provide for them.

I have a 10 year old daughter and my son is 5 months old. I just recently resigned from my job as a chat support representative because I can not find a nanny who will stay with my kids and take care of them. I am now looking for work online so I can stay with them and take care of them and be able to provide for them at the same time. With my job experiences, I know I can handle anything.

My experience in working in the call center industry has taught me a lot and very skilled when dealing with different kinds of customers. I started as a technical support representative handling and assisting customers with their computers and internet connection and phone issues. I then took on a supervisory position, dealing with escalations and complaints from customers. I also took care of back office work like reconciling card transactions and updating processes for the account.

I have encountered different kinds of customers – happy, willing to learn customers and don’t forget the irate “don’t waste my time just fix my problem” type. Believe it or not, I do like handling irate customers because at the end of it all when the issue has been fixed they are the most appreciative and it makes it all worthwhile.

I like the feeling of being able to help and provide the customers with whatever assistance they need while educating them so they would have an idea what to do the next time the issue happens again. When I go to work, all I think about are the customers I will be talking to or chatting with and making sure that I can make all of them happy and satisfied with the service that I have provided.

All those years, I can say I am now an expert in dealing with different personalities and performing the tasks that I am given, and submitting them in a timely and efficient manner. I am very hardworking and a fast learner and I am here to make sure I make my customers more than satisfied with the service I will be providing them.

Doing online work is a first for me, but with the skills I have, I can assure you that hiring me is the best decision you will be making.
