Rachel Ramos Padilla – Nurse
Hello! My name is Rachel Padilla, you can call me Rache.
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, I volunteered in the Hospital. Fortunately, I was given a chance to work abroad in Saudi Arabia for more than 2 years. When my contract ended, I decided to go back home and find work here in the Philippines. I worked at the Philippine Orthopedic Center for a year, but before my contract ended, I tried my luck with the BPO industry. Luckily, I got hired and it was truly an early birthday gift from God. This time, the pay was high and stress was minimal. I enjoyed working there.
I worked as a back-office support for a Health Insurance company in the US. My responsibilities include reviewing, evaluation, and input of pharmacy benefits. We also review documentation and interprets data obtained from the client benefit database. We code and audit the benefits onto the propriety system. I also have a special task wherein I help the client maintain records in their data by checking and editing documents, converting them to PDF and uploading it in their database.
In December of 2017, our account got pulled, and everyone in the team was transferred to other accounts. I was scheduled to be transferred in February 2018, but the client (from my special task) requested for me stay for a few more months because I needed to train their new associates. While training them, I found out that I was pregnant. I was eventually transferred to a new account and was so blessed because I was assigned at the back office. My tasks included sending letters to customers to update their insurance.
I gave birth in November 2018. After my maternity leave I submitted my resignation letter to the company in order for me to take care of my baby boy. Now that he’s 1 year old, I’m ready to work again. I want to work from home because I just couldn’t leave my baby and go to the office every day.
So that’s all for my job experience. My hobbies and interests are watching Korean dramas and travelling. I love to travel and it is my dream to travel the world.
If you wish to know me more, feel free to ask and I’ll be glad to share more of my story 🙂
