Nikki Logan – General Virtual Assistant

Hi. I am Nikki Logan; you can call me Nick. I am the youngest of 3 siblings and already an uncle to 2 beautiful nieces. I graduated with a degree in Speech and Theatre Arts, majoring in Communication, from Bicol University in the Philippines. A few years back, I used to work in different jobs doing sales. I never imagined myself working from home, but I knew I had to work hard to make ends meet.

Way back in 2020, I started working for a local BPO company here in our place. Everything was okay, but then the pandemic hit. It was a very difficult time for me and for all of us. Then, the company allowed us to work outside of the office doing work-from-home setup. I survived the pandemic by being persistent at work. Every time I go to the office, I always remind myself of my biggest ‘WHY’: Why am I working? Why am I doing this? All of this is because of family. Yes, family.

Over the years, I learned so many skills within the company I never knew I had. I never knew I was good with client communication, doing research and data entry, and even product checking for e-commerce. All of this is because of determination. Because of this, I adapt to my environment quickly. I learned how to communicate with customers efficiently, do email management, do product checking, handle multiple clients’ accounts, and report every shift. I learned fast within the company. I was able to work alone and with the team. At times when they seek help, I help them without hesitation to get things done, and it’s very fulfilling.

Over the years, I have understood the company culture. Always giving my best in any way that I can contribute, having a good attitude towards my bosses and colleagues, and learning how to appreciate what I have, makes me a dependable team member. I always abide by the belief to trust yourself. No one will believe you if you don’t believe in yourself. Trust the process.

As a new chapter awaits, I believe that it’s time for me to try a new career when my heart is close to my home and I am able to support myself better for my family. I believe I will grow in this career and aim for a work-life balance.
