Mary Coleen Ibgos – HR/Admin Assistant

Hi, I am Mary Coleen Ibgos, but you can call me Cols. I am a single mother of two children. I graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of San Jose-Recoletos. I don’t have that much of a hobby but I enjoy watching mukbang videos (I know, it might be weird for others but for some weird reason, the ASMR sound relaxes me) 🙂 I love spending my time watching the Grey’s Anatomy series and am super excited to watch the new Season 21 this coming September 26. Aside from that, I love to sleep although you can only get so much if you are a mom already. My hopes include being financially independent. I want to live a comfortable life for my kids. I want to help my parents. I want to pay back all their sacrifices. My happiness mean living a life that is comfortable, a life where you don’t worry what will happen to your kids when you’re gone or worrying where to ask for help if your love ones are sick.

On a professional note, I started my career working in a BPO company in 2014 as a Chat Support Representative in a telco account and later transitioned to an insurance account. This experience broadened my understanding of real-life issues and enhanced my customer service skills, particularly in addressing customer needs in a fast-paced setting.

Subsequently, I worked as an HR/Admin Assistant in a website design company, where I honed my attention to detail and learned the importance of task organisation.

To this day, I remain confident in my reliability and integrity, ensuring that my clients trust me. I thrive in diverse, multicultural environments and can perform tasks with minimal supervision. I have been working remotely since the pandemic began, and it has proven to be incredibly convenient, especially as a single mom. I never anticipated how fulfilling, stress-free, and enjoyable working from home could be.

While I don’t have specific experience as a virtual assistant, I believe my extensive background in data and email management, human resources, and reporting prepares me well for this role. I also think that having experience in human resources and administration gives me an edge over other candidates.

As a mother, I always strive to provide the best for my children. While I’m still young, I am determined to give them the best, even if it means working two jobs.

I aim to grow further in my career, continually learning new skills and acquiring knowledge to improve both my work and personal life.
