Mailene Dumajel is a wife and mom of two adorable kids. She has been with the Virtual Assistant Team for a while working directly with clients, and at one stage performing project management as part of the Syntax Marketing family.

On the weekends Mailene enjoys watching animated movies with her kids. As a family, they like doing karaoke and singing along with some of their favorite movie soundtracks. (We’re hoping to get a demo!)

Here are some of the questions we asked Mailene recently:

  1. Apart from working as a VA, what other things are you passionate about?

Aside from being passionate about working as a virtual assistant, I’m also into home improvement and DIY’s. We don’t have a house of our own as yet but I always get excited just thinking about how I will design our own home in the future. I like to visit YouTube and check for DIY ideas and then save them for future reference. 🙂

  1. Do you have any other secret talents that you’d like to share with us?

I’m not a talented person… but I can sing in the Karaoke with my family and friends!

  1. What do you usually do during your rest days?

I usually spend it with my kids going to the Park, or taking them to my in-laws house to play, and we also go to church together. My husband and I were both raised by church-oriented parents. I would also like to do the same thing for our kids. We always make sure that weekends are dedicated to our family and we focus on performing tasks that do serve the Lord.

  1. How do you reward yourself after a day of hard work?

I reward myself with good food, a movie, and of course watching the YouTube tutorials about home improvements and small space DIY’s. I spend quality time with my kids, and when they are asleep I try to finish all the stuff that I need to do around the house. For the ultimate ‘me time’ I love to relax in a bath!

  1. What is your biggest dream for your family?

I want to be able to afford to send my kids to the school of my choice, give them a comfortable life and build a house of our own. My husband and I have always dreamed of having a home away from the city… you could say that’s our biggest dream!
