Kristine Joyce Revita – Customer Service Representative
Hi! My name is Kristine Joyce, but you can call me Kristine. My biggest achievement so far is being a single mother to a sweet and bubbly eight-year-old daughter. I am an undergraduate in business administration and took up marketing management as a major subject. During my college days, I lived in a convent with three nuns and spent my free time from school helping them with the household chores like cooking and cleaning. I never thought of becoming a nun nor wanted to be one, but my parents decided to bring me to the convent so I could pursue college. For someone who is not so fortunate in life, living in a convent was the only option for me to continue my studies.
Eventually, I had friends and found life in the outside world as a regular young adult. Along the way, I stumbled and fell a little too far from the holy corners of my home. I got pregnant. A sudden twist of fate changed my life forever. I may have failed in achieving my goal to have a bachelor’s degree, but I remained positive in life. I embraced my situation as a single mom and felt the blessing of having a child. Most importantly, I learned how to value what surrounds me, even the smallest of things, although it was challenging especially because I needed to work hard for my daughter and raise her up on my own. As a young mother, I understood that every second is precious in child rearing because kids grow up so fast. This is why it is important for me to work from home and balance my time providing for our needs and being there for my daughter physically and emotionally.
My work experience is very colorful. I have a total of 7 BPO years under my credentials. That includes 2 years of being a technical support/customer service representative and 3 years of being a subject matter expert. That also includes 2 years as a quality assurance specialist, my most recent job. During the pandemic, the company I worked for decided to allow us to work from home and that helped me a lot in terms of time management since I wanted to be there for my little girl and at the same time make myself profitable. However, after 3 years of working from home, another adjustment took place. The company had to let go of some people as a cost-cutting measure. Unfortunately, I am part of the group that was laid off.
My journey continues, hopeful to find another job at the convenience of home. A work-from-home setup is the best thing for me since I can get away from the stress and worry of finding a nanny I can trust. Also, I don’t have to experience the struggle of traveling to and from work. It saves me all the time and effort to get to work on time.
With my extensive experience working for an organisation, I am confident to present myself as a good candidate to become part of your team. I am always excited to learn new things in case I will be given some tasks that are unfamiliar to me.
Someone once told me that experience is the best teacher, but I strongly believe that it is your good character that can take you places. As an always optimistic person, I am looking forward to having a happy work relationship with you.
