Kellyson King – Administrator and Event Coordinator, Violin Teacher

Hi! I’m Kellyson, 36 years old, but I’m known as Kenzo to my peers.

I am pure Taiwanese by blood, though born and raised in the Philippines, since my parents migrated during their younger years. I have two siblings, and I am the middle child. We are required to speak the Chinese language (Mandarin and Fookien) at home since me and my siblings attended a Chinese school during our kindergarten, elementary, and high school years plus our parents are very strict with it. I took up a Bachelor of Music degree Major in Violin Performance. Then I became a violin teacher and a school administrator for The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra School of Music for four years. I was also managing the emails, calls (general inquiries) for the music school, as well as the teachers’ and students’ schedules, and management. I handled the teaching of basic and intermediate violin lessons.

I had 2 years of experience in the BPO industry being a customer service representative for an international airline (Jetstar Airways) wherein I handle general inquiries, upselling (new/change bookings) and complaints.

I was also the head administrator for a Wildlife and Nature Reserve for 5 years. I manage the emails, phone calls, packages and other forms of correspondence. I also handle the financial and accounts administration.

During my free time, I usually stay at home watching Netflix, and practising my violin. I also happen to be a BTS (Kpop music) fan since it helped me a lot to cope with my emotional and mental health, especially with the ongoing pandemic.

I’m a natural dreamer, so that being said, I have a lot of hopes and dreams. Among these are hopes of developing further, my abilities to perform all the important tasks that I have learned to nourish over the years. I am looking forward to being a better person each day, helping myself get a healthier body, keeping a healthy and open mind, and even nourishing my spiritual self.

If there are any fears that I may have, the only one I can consciously think of is, not being able to grow more as a person. I prefer not to make or allow myself to become stagnant, because from being stagnant, all other forms of suffering may follow. I’m generally a happy person, and I also allow myself to become an instrument for the happiness of other people around me, by being kind, understanding, and even tolerant to disagreements. I’m a person who looks at people’s positive qualities, and encourages those positive qualities. I also allow myself to live to the fullest, to learn every undertaking to the heart, and to do every work and activity on my hand with diligence, enthusiasm, and with a positive outlook.

In line with my skills and work experiences, I’m well experienced with handling customer relations, having been trained, and worked at two different schools, where I handled efficient administrative communications between clients, students, and the school’s administration. I’m also able to handle basic accounting bookkeeping, and inventory management; having handled multiple accounts and financial administrative positions. I’m able to utilise digital tools and software for marketing and basic graphic design with proficiency. I’m well experienced, and have proficiency when it comes to handling email inquiries, as well as social media management.

I can also say that I’m efficient with assisting with inquiries, online bookings, and other forms of correspondences; trained as a customer representative that handles airline inquiries, bookings, and upselling.
