Karr Keith Tortola – Nurse
I am a fresh graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
I had no idea about Virtual Assistants until today. You see, I was about to take the board exam in June 2019, but it was cancelled due to the pandemic. I tried to review again for the November’s board exam, but then again it was postponed. I tried to look for jobs online because I prefer home based jobs since I have a child. I couldn’t risk me and my family from the disease that’s been killing most of the vulnerable people in the whole world.
That’s when I found out that most home based jobs are English online teachers and Virtual Assistants. I tried to apply for both but I prefer being in this line of work rather than teaching English to kids.
I have high hopes of becoming one because I believe this line of work will mold me to become a good teamplayer. Furthermore, I believe that working at home gives me the opportunity to still be a mum of one, guiding my child to be a good citizen.
This job will really help me get through this pandemic as well as provide for my family.
The experience of being a virtual assistant provides great opportunity to big companies who are willing to hire more people who also needs this job. In addition, this line of work gives me the opportunity to lessen the risk of my family contracting different kinds of diseases than when I work in the hospital. Saving lives maybe great, but saving the lives of my own family as well as mine while earning is even better!
This pandemic compromised so many jobs, lives as well as companies and it is really one great opportunity to be hired. It is my opportunity for training so I can become an effective virtual assistant even though I don’t have any experience in this line of work… and that means a lot to me.
