Karen Franco Dacumos – CSR and Medical Representative
I am a licensed Nutritionist-Dietitian by profession, but I also have a certificate course in Administrative Management that I took in London, England. After I finished my 2-year program, I went back to the Philippines and worked as a Medical Representative which includes promoting the release of new drugs, organising marketing events and conferences, and achieving important sales wins within the pharmaceutical products sector.
I did a lot of presentations and that is why I’m trained to use a lot of Microsoft Office tools in data gathering/entry. Throughout my career, I have managed key client relationships, contract negotiations, and market impact and penetration endeavours.
I was at the peak of my career when I got married and had a complicated pregnancy. That’s why I decided to look for a home-based job after I gave birth.
I’ve been working online for almost 2 years now as an English Teacher for Japanese adult students at the same time, as a data entry specialist. I must say from those experiences, I became more computer savvy, with a keen eye for every detail. My home-based job experiences enhanced my working knowledge not just in teaching English but in Administrative works. I am well-versed in different Microsoft tools and I can easily switch focus with efficiency and performing those tasks successfully. I can maximise the value of data by building great charts, using conditional formatting, identifying trends, bringing data together and utilising online access.
I also took TESOL certification or teaching of English to speakers of other languages and also attended Online Arbitrage training which I found very helpful. It taught me to buy products at a cheaper rate from any online marketplace, local or wholesale websites and selling them for profit on websites like Amazon and eBay at a much higher price.
I am a busy bee every weekday but on weekends, I always find time for my hobbies and exploring other interests. During my free time, I like to do experimental cookery and baking. I am also into music; I can sing and play drums. In fact, I was a drummer volunteer in our church Music team when I was still single and I am planning to go back this year.
People perceive me as analytical and confident. Maybe because I am focused on producing results. While I am always realistic when setting goals, I consistently develop ways to efficiently achieve, and often exceed those goals.
