Junin Labajo – Administrative Assistant, Data Entry, ESL

Like every other story I guess I should start from the very beginning.

I am the youngest among 2 siblings, 25 years old and a college graduate. I took up Bachelor of Science Major in Hospitality Management. Being in the hospitality industry gives me a lot of experience when it comes to customer service. Our number 1 goal is to give customers satisfaction and exceed their expectations. After I graduated from college, I worked for a 5-star hotel here in our province. There I learned that being in this industry requires a lot of patience and the most important thing is to always empathise with your customer no matter what.

After a year I worked as a member assistant for a recruitment company specifically for several international cruise ships. After that I ventured my journey to online jobs. I became an online English tutor for Chines students and professionals. There I was able to enhance my communication skills. My recent job was for a BPO company as a Data Entry Executive. Basically, I do data entry pertaining to relevant needs of the client. I gather data for comparison shopping, edit, upload and download vendor documents and images from websites and check samples and compare them against vendor doc. I also track and process samples given by the client. I’ve been there for almost 2 years and have been working from home.

Working from home made a great impact in my career and on my family. I get to spend time with them and I am able to provide for their needs at the same time. The convenience of working from home gave me a chance to work on my physical and mental wellness. It gave me an opportunity to develop my skills, both emotional and intellectual, and gave me an opportunity to interact with different people from different countries and cultures. It gave me confidence that I never had before and made me realise that I have more potential. I also get to know things about myself that I never knew. Like, being able to adjust to new challenges and being thrilled with the accomplishments that I earn.

Now, I’m eager to expand my knowledge in this industry and I’m hoping to find a stable job as a virtual assistant. With my experience, I will be able to share my knowledge and be an asset to my future team. I am looking forward to making a great achievement and contribute knowledge to my team.
