John Verdad – Mechanical Engineer

John-Lester-Verdad-vaI’m John Lester Verdad, a graduate of Mechanical Production Engineering in the Philippines. I professionally work in the field of Mechanical and Architectural drafting & design. I have previously worked as a CAD Drafter in one of the Engineering companies located in California, USA but in a remote basis. Our project consists of residential, public, and commercial buildings. I was learning and enjoying the work I have but suddenly my boss died last March this year. I was in pain. He was my mentor and he was one of the best people I’ve known. Due to this, his business is no longer operational. And here I am, searching for a job. Currently, I have been accepting various part time projects like Construction Estimator that uses Square Takeoff and Plan Swift, and other CAD Drafting projects.

I also had experience working as a Mechanical Draftsman and Designer in a Furniture Manufacturing company. We used Solidworks, AutoCAD, Keyshot, and other software to produce the best furniture in the eyes of our customers.

I also previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer in Malaysia for a company that manufactures Store Gondola, Store Shelving, Counter, Racks and they are using CNC Turret and Laser Job. Although it was just a short stint, I learned a lot including the culture, food, and religion of the Malay people. I met good people there.

John-Lester-Verdad-vaWhen I went back to the Philippines, I was hired as a Mechanical Draftsman by a US company that manufactures Robotic Kiosk. It was also the first home based/ remote work I had. I must say that American people are fair, good in nature, they will guide and teach you how to enhance your skills.

I believed the key strengths that I possess for success include:

  • Successfully designed, developed, and supported live use applications like Solidworks, Revit, Keyshot, CATIA V5, AutoCAD 2D&3D, Autodesk Inventor, Google Sketch UP, Cimatron, Square Take Off, Plan Swift. I’m also knowledgeable using Quickbooks and others.
  • Strived for continued excellence
  • Provided exceptional contributions to customer service for all customers.

In my judgment, I am a hardworking person, easy to work with, and reliable.
