John Jason Elma – Executive Virtual Assistant
Through my entire career journey, I’ve performed various roles with dedication, flexibility, and a commitment to have a significant impact to my clients. It all started during the pandemic period when the safety of my family became my number one priority, leading me to decide to work remotely as an Executive Assistant. Note that this journey was not an easy path that i had undergone. I had to study and learn being a Virtual Assistant through internet and various colleagues i tap onto. This change of career path not only suited with my personal situation but also sparked a desire to help company or businesses in different sectors.
My first adventure was diving into the realm a real estate industry as an Executive Assistant at Norita Investments LLC, . Here, I handled crucial important task like email management, administrative task, and teaching other Virtual Assistants on how to effectively communicate with our clients and cold calling techniques that i’ve learned during my stay. Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, I made an effort to improve our processes and provide excellent service to my boss. However, i had to make a painful decision to resign in order to lessen the financial burden that my boss is having.
Unfazed by this obstacle, I entered into the exciting realm of gaming industry as an Account Manager at Nexplay, a Singaporean gaming company. In this role, As a way to support the company’s advertising campaigns, I was spearheading in establishing collaborations and obtaining sponsorships from well-known businesses to market their brands in exchange to the sponsorship that they gave. Regardless with my unwavering commitment and accomplishments in exceeding goals, the company had dealt with financial problems, which resulted in a organizational shift and my exit to the company.
After that, I had moved into the tech industry and took on role of Business Development Manager at Larus Limited, a Hong Kong-based IT company specialize in providing IP solutions to its clients globally. During my time here, I focused on proactively engaging clients, forming strategic connections via linked in or any other social media aspect, and increasing sales in a highly competitive and fast paced sector. But ultimately, because the work was project-based, I started looking for other alternatives for financial stability since at this time i had to support my sister’s tuition fee in nursing.
My career path then led me to All Canada Notary, a Canadian legal firm, where I served as an Executive Assistant. I handled a wide range of administrative tasks here, such as answering emails, setting up appointments to our clients , coordinating with other offices, and monitoring calls received either through website chat or through phone calls. During my time at All Canada Notary, I improved my organisational skills and strengthened my dedication to providing effective and professional support for the business operations.
Continuing to develop my professional journey. I began working as an AZ Agency, an Australian healthcare staffing agency, initially as an Admin Assistant and quickly advancing to the position of being a Case Manager. I took on a broad responsibility in this position that included company growth, staff coordination, client management, and reporting. My time with AZ Agency has shown my capacity to succeed in changing circumstances in fast paced environment and i was able adjust to a variety of positions over time.
My main objective going forward is to use my knowledge and experience to positively make an impact to my future boss’s operations while pursuing long-term financial security. In addition, I’m dedicated in developing my skill set even more and advancing my goals of co-ownership in the future. With my track record of brilliance, adaptability, and diligence, I am ready to contribute significantly to any organisation I join.
