Joanne De Guzman – Auto Loans Marketing Assistant

A happy wife and a mom of three smart kids, I am Joanne R. De Guzman from Pampanga, Philippines. I love to solve puzzles such as Sudoku and Word Search in my free time. As a frustrated Architect, I also love to browse beautifully designed houses on the net as I dream of having our own. Although I wanted to be an Architect, to be an Accountant was my other choice.  I graduated with a B.S. in Accountancy in 2001.

Destiny led me to the Auto Industry. I started out working as a Cashier / Telephone Operator / Office Assistant in a Multi Branded Vehicle Company. While multitasking, I became one of the Best Telephone Operators and received a Corporate Image Award. After a year, I was considered to be in the Sales Department. Since the Company has a passion not only for cars but for providing customer service satisfaction as well, I developed good communication, organisation and administrative skills and provided excellence in customer service. Honesty, compliance and loyalty were the values which guided me while working for the said Company.

I then moved to a Bank and became a Loans Processor under the Auto Loans Department. Having a keen eye for details, integrity and diligence were some of the qualities I had in handling the role. This role is in charge of ensuring the correctness, completeness and consistency of information in the loan documents. It is about proper encoding of account and loan details in the Bank System. And coordination of important information with the clients, Loan Officers, Sales Agents/Brokers and Auto Dealer Representatives.

Still under the Auto Loans Department, I also handled a Marketing Assistant Position. I provided support to our Sales & Marketing Team. I assessed credit worthiness of the loan applications through credit checking and coordinated the status of each account with the client, Loan Officers, Sales Agents/Brokers and Auto Dealer Representatives. I also reviewed the documents of the approved loan accounts prior to sending them to the Loans Processor for booking.

In 2014, I had to quit my job to focus on taking care of my children. I never knew that there was this Virtual Assistant job that I could have done while staying at home with my kids. And now that they have grown and can do things independently, I wish to be a successful Virtual Assistant. I wanted to contribute my knowledge, skills and experience in the VA world particularly in providing support in Loan Administration. I may not have direct work experience in the Real Estate Mortgage, I am willing to undergo training to learn. With my enthusiasm to work as a Virtual Assistant, I will work hard to study everything about it.

I believe I would be an efficient and valuable addition to a team as I have with me the professional experience and attitude needed.  Throughout my career in the Corporate World, I have developed a professional attitude to learn the necessaries, accomplish the possibilities and do the impossible.

Thank you for accepting my application. I wish to continue this story and hope it would be about how I became a successful Mortgage Broking Assistant at the Virtual Assistant Team.
