Jessgeline Aceret – Sales Support, Graphic Designer

Hello! I’m Jessgeline Aceret, and you can call me “Jess” I am still single because at this time I am still focusing on my career growth and stability. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education Major in Computer Education at Rizal Technological University. I had 2 years of teaching experience in the private sector. I was a Senior High School ICT teacher. I used to teach some basics in WordPress, Photoshop, and Adobe Animation.

Right after I got my teaching license, I tried to apply in the government sector where I got hired and spent my teaching career for almost 4 years. I was a Junior High School ICT teacher and I used to teach computer hardware/software and some technology and livelihood subject areas.

During that time, I was part of the School Technical Working Group. I was assigned to design, document and make presentations at every school event. I was also a writer of one of the Localised Self-Directed Learning Modules that was used in our Division. I also used to be a facilitator and speaker during our Department Meetings/Seminars.

I had a great time teaching until last August 2023. I resigned as a teacher and I decided to pursue a different path this time. I took a hiatus just to give myself time to figure out what I really wanted to do in life. I used this time wisely. I tried different new things through online, like selling items, designing some graphics/creatives and doing Facebook ads. I attended some webinars/trainings. I even self-study all the courses I bought online. Like a course for Virtual Assistants. While studying this course, I just realised that some of the tasks were really my tasks before as a teacher. Managing multi-task, handling schedules, and communicating effectively, those are just a few things that a virtual assistant needs to have, in which I know to myself in my experience in teaching, I used to manage those things and I know I will still.

I used to work in remote set-up due to the pandemic for 2 years and I know this time, I can still do that in fact this is one of the things I am eyeing for, to work in remote/virtually. I prefer to work virtually because I can concentrate on things more effectively and flexibly. It also allows me to be more comfortable and therefore more creative. Another thing I believe it reduces workplace distraction. So I hope one day, I will have a chance to work with you.
