Jacquelyn Silverio – Administrative Assistant, Customer Service
Hi, I hope this message finds you well!
I’m Jacquelyn Silverio, a graduate of Bachelor of Arts Major in Political Science and a mother of three amazing kids. I’m a very independent and diligent person because I sent myself to school during my college days. I come from a big family and my parents lack financial assistance. Because of my dedication to finish my studies, I applied for all of the available scholarship that I knew of.
I was so blessed to be part of the Varsity team in our school.
After my class or on holidays, weekends and vacation, I helped my Aunt to sell fruits and vegetables for my allowance, food and lodging.
I had my first stable job when I was nineteen years old after finishing my on-the-job training in our University. I worked as a Technical Specialist of T-Mobile for one and half years. We troubleshoot our customer’s smartphones, tablets, and basic phones. Working with them honed my problem-solving skills and I honestly found pleasure in helping people with what they needed.
Then I worked with DIRECTV, now acquired by AT@T, for more than two years as a billing expert. We handled general inquiries about AT@T services. It was a good opportunity working with AT&T. They provided great trainings for us to be more flexible to multi-product account. While it was stressful, it enhanced my ability to be efficient at handling many tasks. It provided me with the skills and the knowledge to be successful.
Then from October 2017 until December 2019, I was lucky to be chosen as the secretary of the Municipal Administrator and I was tasked to perform secretarial duties. This was my first job to be on field. I received and screened visitors, maintained the administrator’s calendar, scheduled meetings, screened requests, performed research, compiled and summarised informational materials and much more. I pride myself for being good at organising work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction from my boss.
My very recent job is an ESL teacher. My students are Korean and its my responsibility to assess their English progress. I encourage my students to speak up, participate in class and I help them to learn.
Though I’m new in this field, I believe that I am ready to take on the responsibilities of a virtual assistant. I have the capability to work harder and will do my best in this field.
