Ivy C. Ebbat – Appointment Setter and CSR Specialist

ivy-ebbat-profileHi! My name is Ivy and this is my story.

It was three months ago when I finally entered the virtual world and said goodbye to the corporate world.

Throughout my career, I’ve always loved helping others and have always been the go-to-person of many.

I was so excited because there’s no office politics to deal with, no daily commute in terrible traffic and I get to be with my family every day.

Instead of trying to find another office career, I thought of finding something that I could take with me wherever I go. I did a lot of research on how to make money from home, especially on how to be a good Virtual Assistant.

I am a go-getter. I am willing to learn new things and very flexible to changes. I am computer savvy with excellent typing skills, very knowledgeable in using MS Office, Google Spreadsheet and an expert in sending e-mails.

How long have you been in the business?

ivy-ebbat-vacationI’m very new to the freelancing world.

I was a Call Center Agent for nine years before I decided to work from home. At the moment, I’ve already had three project based campaigns.

My first home based job was as an Appointment Setter for a Canadian Advertising Agency. I performed cold calling, advertising and sometimes promoting home cleaning services.

After that, I worked with CGR Group of Companies, which is a Dallas based company that buys properties in the US. I did outbound and inbound calls using Mojo, generating leads and doing skip tracing. It was yet another project based campaign that ended in August 2019.

While doing these jobs, I was also a part time Virtual Assistant for All Day Homebuyers, which is a US based company also looking for properties for sale. I did skip tracing and sometimes verifying the leads that we found if they’re active or not using IQDial.

I also had one-week’s training for Amazon Online Arbitrage.

What’s been most challenging thus far?

The hardest part for me is finding the clients you want to work with.

Did you ever want to quit or give up?

There have been certain days that I wanted to quit. But when things get tough, I just remember why I am doing this; for my future and to be able to be with my family.
