Honeylyn Aragones – General Virtual Assistant
Hello, I’m Honeylyn Aragones, but you can call me Hon or Honey for short . I’m a proud mother of two boys and a daughter. While I completed two years of college with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Maxino College in Dumaguete City, my career journey has been filled with unexpected twists and turns.
Initially, I was uncertain about which career path to pursue as I did not finish a 4-year degree course in college. So I applied as a sales clerk in department store for months but I felt like it’s not the path that I wanted. Then I discovered the world of the call center industry out of curiosity. My journey began in 2015, marked by numerous unsuccessful job interviews due to a lack of experience. However, each setback fueled my determination to strive harder for my Family.
Eventually, I found my niche as a customer service representative, gaining valuable experience across various accounts handling email, chat, and phone support. My responsibilities included responding to inquiries, processing orders, maintaining records, and providing customer guidance. I later ventured into healthcare accounts, specialising in dental and medical services.
Throughout my seven-years journey, I’ve honed my professionalism, adapted to diverse environments, and developed strong communication and organisational skills. I’ve learned that a positive attitude and consistent dedication are key to achieving success in any role in life.
What began as a dream driven by curiosity has evolved into a passion for personal and professional growth. Now, transitioning to a virtual assistant role represents a significant step forward. Embracing the challenge of working from home with minimal supervision, I look forward to acquiring new skills and knowledge and becoming a better version of myself both in my career and personal life.
My experience has taught me the importance of perseverance and adaptability. Each role has contributed to my growth, shaping me into a capable and versatile professional. As I start on this new chapter, I bring with me a wealth of experience in customer service, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous improvement and do things outside my comfort zone.
In conclusion, my journey from college student to customer service representative and now aspiring virtual assistant illustrates my dedication to overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities for growth.
