Hirobi Joy Justiniano – Executive Assistant

Howdy! I am Hirobi Joy Justiniano from Marikina City. I graduated with a degree in BS Accountancy from the Philippine School of Business Administration. I am also a wife and mom to a lovely daughter. I have been working for a decade in 3 types of industries: Logistics, BPO, and Virtual Assistant. I’ve worked a day shift, graveyard shift, and flexible time. Also, in an onsite setup since 2014 and a work-at-home setup way back in 2020 during the pandemic. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work at home after giving birth to my child.

I started working as an Accounting Associate in a logistics company where my main task was to do invoices and assign billing. I started there to communicate with a client with whom we needed to have a bidding process but as an assistant to my boss. I was already exposed to that kind of negotiation, but this is a private company with a small staff.

Then, after a year, I was invited to have a one-day process application, and I tried and passed. This is where I started to meet a lot of different people with different perspectives, attitudes, and goals in life, this is the corporate world. At first, I was amazed by the new environment. There are a lot of rules and regulations, and KPIs that need to be met monthly. As time goes on, I became confident I can keep up in the new environment. I was promoted to quality assurance, meeting the target and receiving an incentive for good performance.

When the pandemic happened, I was included in the retrenchment from my previous company. I got pregnant without a job, and that’s when I started to apply and was hired as an Executive Assistant. I had a US Client with whom I handled admin tasks, billing, invoicing, and some additional tasks after every meeting. This is a work-from-home setup with a flexible schedule. I was so blessed to experience this opportunity during the pandemic. I am confident that even if it’s remote work, I did my job with accuracy to meet the client’s expectations.

I strive to become a better version of myself and apply what I learn to both my professional and personal lives. I also strive to accept changes and am eager to learn more.
