Grenalyn Pasigan – General Virtual Assistant
Hello! I am Grenalyn G. Pasigan, but you can call me Gie. I was born in the month October, the year of 1995. Most of my friends describe me as a funny, organised person who is easy to get along with. They also say I am jolly, adaptable, an excellent problem-solver, and hard-working. I am good at research and I love learning new things.
I graduated as a High School student last 2012. My parents tried to get me to college, but I stopped from 2nd Sem due to financial struggle. In 2013, I became a fashion runway model, I thought it would help me sustain myself financially. Having financial struggles is not easy.
At the age of 18, I started working as a Sales Associate/Cashier in an RTW inside the Mall here in the Philippines. During my time there, I learned a lot about business process and operations. After more than a year, I decided to try to apply abroad for pursue new opportunities but it didn’t work. I became unemployed and tried again to look for another job. I applied to a coffee shop and I passed the interview and training and landed a job as a Barista.
While working in the coffee shop, I gained lots of valuable knowledge about customer service and hospitality. Due to personal reasons, I decided to resign and asked my sister who is in Dubai to help me get there. At the age of 21, I flew to Dubai, pursued to apply there, and became a Cashier in an Italian 
Luxury Brand of shoes and bags. While working as a cashier, I also worked a slight Admin work like handling paperwork, receiving stocks, inventory management, and email management. After almost 2 years of working there, I became pregnant with my long-term boyfriend. Knowing the culture in Dubai, you shouldn’t be pregnant unless you are married, that pushed me to go back home to the Philippines. Now at the age of 28, I am happily married, a wife, and a mother of 2 children, one 5-year-old boy and one 8-month-old baby girl.
Seeing someone successfully working from home inspired me to explore remote work options. I am looking forward to working from home to let me enjoy my hobbies and spend more time with my family.
I am excited to grow my career as a virtual assistant and continue learning new skills in this industry.
