My friends have always tagged me “the walking encyclopedia” for knowing the most random facts. Even though I’ve always found that amusing, the teasing made me hesitant to share the things I knew, until the day I discovered my passion for research and Social Media Management.

Hi! My name is Gabrielle Gamboa, and I just might be the person you’re looking for your next venture.

I found my passion for research and social media management by accident. Truth be told, I didn’t know that you could make a career out of being on Facebook for extensive hours every day! Three years ago, while working as a call quality specialist for a Call Center, social media was just a place for sharing random things about your day, and then one day a friend asked me if I knew anything about Facebook ads and Page management.

At that time, I had zero knowledge about Social Media Management, but my curiosity got the better of me and told my friend that I would take on the role she was offering as long as she let me learn things I didn’t know online. Thankfully she said yes, and so I got on YouTube, poured hours into training videos, and the rest, they say, is history!

Now, I may still not be an expert on anything but I have two years of being a freelance research specialist and Social Media Manager under my belt. I have done 2000+ hours of research and almost two years of handling social media accounts that I can be proud of… but I still want my skills to grow, thus I have continued to be curious and learn as much as I can.

My friends still tease me for being a “walking encyclopedia”, and though I still find it amusing, I sure as heck am owning that title now. 😉
