Eurupha Karyll Bernal – CSR and Administrative Assistant
‘Loyal, optimistic, has a sense of urgency, eager to learn new tasks, adaptable to changes, and willing to do extra time in terms of business needs” – that is how I have been described by the upper management team that I am working with.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Due to the low compensation of the Hospitality Industry I decided to search for work in the corporate world and that is where I started as Data Entry Agent. I processed numerous documents on a daily basis (such as payments, Medical certificates, new claims etc.) for an Australian Insurance company and became part of the Escalations Team. This role involved performing callouts for creditors/providers and Case managers. After a year I was promoted as one of the pilot roles as Weekly Benefits Officer – completely different from where I began as a Data Entry Agent! My work involved computing the Pre Injury Average Weekly Earnings of the Insured Worker/Claimant. After 9 months in the Weekly Benefits Team I was again promoted to Quality Assurance Officer. I perform random audits for all the tasks processed by the agents, and generate weekly reports for the Operations Manager, Team Leaders, and Assistant Team Leaders. In 3 years of being part of the QA Team, I was recommended by our Operations Manager to apply for Assistant Team Leader post. I passed the apprenticeship program and have been effective in my post for 3 months now, and been handling the Escalations Team.
In line with wanting to work in Office Admin as a Virtual Assistant, I may not have as much experience as others when it comes to being a Virtual Assistant. However, I promise to complete all of the tasks given to me, and make sure that I will become an expert in the position you give you. Place your trust in me and I assure you that I will do my utmost to do the best by you. I will give my heart and put 100% into my job. I will be there to help your organisation grow.
I am a mother of 3 and homebased work would be ideal for me – it will help create a healthy work-life balance.
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you soon.
