Emmagine Eyana – Customer Service Representative
We live in a world full of uncertainties, but one thing for me is certain – myself and the values I believe in. We are surrounded by many people, though we all apparently look similar, yet we are all unique in our own ways. That uniqueness gives us an identity, and that identity motivates us to become different from each and everyone.
My name is Emmagine Eyana. My name itself is unique and gives me my own identity. It was derived from my parents’ name (Emma from my father’s name, Emmanuel and Gine from my mother’s name, Gina). I am a half Island girl and a half City girl. I was born and raised in one of the Islands in Mindanao, Philippines and after College, I went to explore City life.
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Juris Doctor. I am an aspiring Philippine lawyer, but that does not hinder me from delving and learning new set of knowledge and skills. I was a hardworking, persistent, dedicated and goal-oriented working student back then. It was when I have realized how to balance my time, to juggle work while studying not to mention catching up with my family and friends in between leisure time. It was a struggle at first, but because of my determination to succeed both at work and in my studies, I took every difficulty as a challenge and as an inspiration. Every time I think of giving up, I always remind myself on why I do this and how far I have gone so far. The whole journey has taught me perseverance and ignited my desire to accomplish everything that I have begun.
I worked as a Customer Service Associate-Billing and Account Specialist in one of the BPO industries in the Philippines. It was where I have nurtured and honed my communication skills, ability to understand every single detail in a situation, developed interpersonal skills and other skills of similar importance in the job. I also worked as an Intern Human Resource Officer where I gained knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, Email Management and other Admin Tasks.
At work, my Boss describes me as an optimistic, result-driven, dedicated and passionate employee. At school, my Professors and classmates describe me as a focused, competitive, willing to learn new things, flexible and goal-oriented student. I guess, my personality will depend on the type of environment I am in, nevertheless, it all boils down to me being a results-oriented and goal-driven, passionate and resilient individual. I am open to new challenges and new life experiences.
In life, one thing is constant and that is change. In my life, learning is continuing process and change is part of it.
