Emily Cote – Social Media Specialist

emily-cote-profileHi! I’m Emily, your friendly Canadian Virtual Assistant. I am a multi-faceted VA with experience in many aspects of the field.

I love all things Social Media so if you need help with anything at all, you can count on me!

I am also a stickler for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I believe that how you get your point across is just as important as the point itself.

I became a Virtual Assistant in January 2019 after having my second child. My family means the world to me and I knew that once we were complete, I wanted to be able to have the flexibility that comes with this job. We all know how difficult it can be to take time off when a child is sick, has a doctor’s appointment, or when school and daycare is closed for a snow day (or maybe that’s just a Canadian thing. If you haven’t experienced one, they’re a lot of fun!). Over the last year I have proven to myself and to my clients that I excel at working from home. I always get the job done on time, and love being a Virtual Assistant.

emily-cote-bondingI offer many services as a Virtual Assistant. These include Social Media Management (content creation, content repurposing, engaging with followers, responding to direct messages, cold-call messaging, keeping track of stats), Data Entry, Email Management, Calendar Management, Email Marketing (newsletter creation and design), Blog Post Services (proofreading, editing, posting), Stock Photo Sourcing, and probably any other task you can think of!

Prior to becoming a VA, I worked in the Early Childhood Education field, both in the classroom and in management. This taught me many things, but most of all, patience, and communication. I believe that effective communication is fundamental in the online world. Since we don’t get to see each other face to face, it is extremely important to be able to connect virtually so that we can be clear with each other’s expectations. I am more than happy to receive feedback from my clients as I want to do the best possible job for everyone I work with. If you’re not happy, I’m not happy, and that just doesn’t work for either of us.

I have been fortunate to learn many skills since becoming a VA, through courses, guidance from clients and peers, and self-teaching, and am always looking to expand my knowledge and capabilities. If I don’t know how to do something, I will figure it out, and quickly!
