Eleine De Ocampo – E-Commerce and Sales

Hi, I am Eleine De Ocampo from the Philippines. I grew up in a family of six; 2 older brothers and one younger sister. I consider myself as the oldest because I am the one whom they always run to when they have financial problems or difficulties in life.

At the early age of 16 years, I had to stop studying because of family problems and I needed to find a job to help my parents. I had to step up and prioritise the needs of my family and to set aside my dreams for a moment.

The funny thing about being so-called ‘BIG SISTER’, I was the only one left single in the family. It was my dream to give my parents a comfortable life before I focused on myself and finished my study.

After 6 years working, I decided to go back to school because I believe that Education is a good investment in my future and a treasure you will have for the rest of your life. I can say that I finished my schooling because of my eagerness to be a Diploma holder. And also, my family is my inspiration to work hard for to give them a better life.

One of my priceless moments was when I finally climbed up onto the stage to receive my Diploma and to see how proud my parents were of me. It encouraged me not to give up easily and strive hard for my dreams.

My last job was as a Consultant in one of the most reputable skin service centers in Philippines. This job gave me the opportunity to connect with people of different races and religions. It taught me how to be more patient dealing with clients and to learn how to solve problems with my own. Further, it also game me the ability to build rapport with our clients because when I was child, I was very shy and I have a fear of talking to strangers. The company trained us well to uphold high courtesy and customer service standards for every client and I was able to work with it as well as interact with my co-workers.

I am still a newbie in the freelance world, but I am confident I can deliver because of my strong interest and determination. My personal mission is to continue to learn and grow my abilities, utilise my skills, train and build personal character to thrive in any position I hold, while striving to advance in the company and contribute to its success.
