Claudess Frondoza Cabanacan – Teacher, Customer Support

I’ve been working for almost 15 years and counting, and it has been a roller coaster ride.

I am a teacher by profession. Right after I graduated from college I applied as a high school teacher in one of the biggest universities in Davao and luckily, they hired me. I taught there for 3 and a half years, and then decided to resign to join Jesuit Volunteer Philippines. My JVP passion lasted for a year, where I was assigned to teach in the province of Ilocos Sur.

Currently, I am no longer connected to the teaching field, but I know deep inside in my heart that teaching is always my passion.

So, how did my BPO career start? Shifting to a different field was quite a challenge for me but I’m glad that I was able to overcome it, and excel with it.

I started my BPO career way back in 2012 as a technical support representative. I did some troubleshooting and helped the customers fix their computers. I was taking calls for 5 months and was promoted as a trainer afterward.

For my 15 years of working I grew and developed my skills in dealing with different people, different management, and different environments. The longest position that I held was as a TEAM LEAD – managing people, coaching them, and making sure that they reach their full potential to excel and develop not only professionally, but also in personal aspects in life.

Being a Team Lead is difficult but at the same time fun.
