Clarizze Mata – General Virtual Assistant, E-Commerce

clarizze-mata-vaHi! My name is Clarizze Mata, I consider myself a Jill of all trades. I enjoy learning new things and gaining new skills for personal or professional growth. I’m known as optimistic, reliable, motivated, hardworking, and honest which I believe are the great qualities to have as a virtual assistant who works remotely. I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself.

I graduated from Lyceum of the Philippines University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. I worked in BPO as a Customer Service Representative in a US healthcare account, assisting customers via phone calls in navigating their web accounts, from resetting passwords to mild technical issues. I left my job because there was no one to take care of my son. I became a full-time hands-on Mom, then pursued baking as my family and I enjoy eating. I started as a part-time home-based baker, I enrolled in baking training where I learned all the skills I had as a Baker.

During the pandemic, I joined a Barter exchange in my community where I baked cakes and traded them for groceries. That’s how I helped my partner during the pandemic. Then, I discovered freelancing in 2021, I invested by enrolling in training to become a General Virtual Assistant. Some of the things I learned from this training are:

  • Social Media Management – How to create content, and post it to social media platforms using Buffer as a scheduler.
  • Basic Graphic Design – Using Canva to create social media posts.
  • Lead Generation – Finding leads through Linkedin, google, and thorough research.
  • Email Management – Organising email by folder.
  • Email Marketing – Using MailChimp for a newsletter campaign.
  • Web & Blog management – Creating a web design using WordPress and Wix.

clarizze-mata-vaI landed my first client after a week of enrolling with the GVA. My client’s business was e-commerce known as Facebook dropshipping in the US marketplace. My client taught me how the business works and how to do tasks from product research to product listing, processing orders, and answering customer’s inquiries. Sadly, after a year my client stopped the business since we couldn’t figure out the algorithm of the Facebook marketplace.

After 4 months, I got another client as a Product Researcher for Amazon UK Marketplace. Where I manually source products for Online Arbitrage and Wholesale. I do research for brands and suppliers for the winning products. I also created an online web store for my client using Wix. My client had some unforeseen events, so we had to end the contract.

I may not have the necessary experience, but I still pursue this career. In my opinion, anything is achievable with the right attitude, positivity, consistency, and perseverance. I am a fast learner and can adapt easily.

I believe I am the right candidate for you to join your team based on my skill set and attitude. I hope to hear from you soon.
