Clarice Palomo – Administrative Assistant, Real Estate
I’ve been a freelancer since 2017 but prior to that, I have experienced working in the corporate world here in the Philippines. I worked as an admin assistant in a brokerage firm and that’s when I fell in love in the real estate industry. I experienced talking to some high-end people when I had a viewing, providing solutions when problems arise, and doing paperwork and setting an appointment. I tried my luck to work as a property specialist in a respected developer here in our country. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long. That’s when I started to work in the BPO industry. I enjoyed helping people, listening to their problems, and having long patience, especially for elderly customers. Because of those experiences, I realized that it doesn’t matter what industry I belong to, the bottom line is I enjoyed doing customer service. I enjoyed helping people and making their life easier.
So when I heard about the world of freelancing, I tried it and my first VA experience was with an Australian Real estate company. I also worked in an appraisal company as an admin assistant doing the appraisal report (ACI). Most of my jobs are clerical/admin work and customer service. I am knowledgeable in posting ads on craigslist, basic social media management like FB page manager, posting articles, and optimizing the photos. Familiar with asana, slack, dropbox, and team wave. I assure you that I am a passionate and trustworthy person. Fast learner, teachable, can work independently, and meet deadlines.
In those years of experience as an employee, I learned to handle different types of people and act positively regardless of everything. I learned to feel the same way when things get wrong. My experiences honed me to be a customer’s advocate and taught me to manage my time, prioritize the needs of them and reiterate to me the importance of communication and to the whole team. I had the ability to adapt to changes in my working environment, be responsible in achieving the goal, and be willing to render the service that my customer deserves, and even go the extra mile.
I really appreciate the knowledge, learning, and skills that my working experiences imparted to me and I love the relationship that I built with those people and co-workers but this dream will motivate me to learn more, do better, and passionately serve my benefactors. Right now, my goal is to provide an exceptionally high level of customer service and experience actual care for my client.
