Cheddar Armildez – Customer Service Representative

I am Cheddar Armildez, 27 years old. I finished a degree in BA Mass Communications Major in Creative Writing at Bulacan State University year 2017. I am a mother of two and my husband and manage several businesses together.

While I was in College, I was elected as Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman, where I served and lead 700 youths of our community. During this time, my multi-tasking skills were tested and time management was a real deal. Also, I have my Sangguniang Kabataan Councilors where each member plays an important role. We think of activities and projects that are really beneficial for the youth. And as a leader, I served an example and I make sure to build a relationship beyond our duties.

When my term ended, I ran for a higher position as a Barangay Councilor and luckily, I won. As one of the legislative bodies, I was assigned as an Education Committee where I have proposed and implemented ordinances that are helpful for the education system and will support students to keep up with the class and with the modern world today. We are the front line to the people who are in need and in trouble. So, we have to think of solutions and ideas that will make the issue resolved that will bring ease to our constituents. As a public official, it improves my problem-solving skills and my public speaking, as well. I received a Youth Leadership Award year 2015 which was so overwhelming. This proved to me that I can bring justice to my position as a public official and I am serving with purpose.

Few months after I graduated from college, I decided to work as a casino dealer in one of the integrated resorts, hotel & casino here in the Philippines. As a top-tier hotel, we provide 5-star customer service and world class professionalism is a must at all times. We had to be vigilant and energetic living in a positive attitude.

Getting out of the box is more like discovering more of myself. I decided to leave my job in the city and look for a job that is closer to home. My husband and I focused on our business. We expanded our fishpond property and in the midst of pandemic, we discovered a new business that is production of wire basket that are often used for hanging plants.

I am very creative. We don’t live in a luxurious life. And as a mother, I have to be resourceful. I need to find ways and think of new ideas so, I decided to be innovative. This is what made me decide to become virtual assistant. If you give me a lot of tasks, it is not a problem to me because I know how to handle it and I can work under pressure with quality. I am a work in progress and I love the idea of learning new things. In fact, anyone can be so talented and capable of doing things but not everyone is available and very willing.
