Cecilia Rafael – Social Media Creator

Hi, I am Cecilia Rafael, you can call me Cez or Cecilia. I am a mother of a fur baby named Downy. I graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the Philippine Women’s University and migrated to Canada 3 years after.

I then returned to the Philippines to pursue a simpler life in the country.

I would not have thought of working from home is possible and available to me with my experience.

I started out working in the Real Estate industry in 2004. Hence my familiarity with Canadian Real Estate Market. Then I discovered working from home for US REALTORS on Facebook in 2019 and my career as a REALTOR’s Virtual Assistant unfold. I never knew working from home could be so fulfilling, stress-free, and enjoyable.

I then pursued work in the Real Estate industry from Transaction Coordinator, Listing Coordinator to Social Media Creator or Social Media Manager.

Because of the changing and fast-paced nature of the real estate industry, I come to adopt, explore and learn new skills to better serve my client. I am well-versed in Canva and I am now learning Photoshop to level up my game.

I built my experience through client support, social media marketing, Canva graphic design, Canva video editing, listing coordinator, transaction coordinator, Airbnb host, and general real estate virtual assistant. I learn fast and can cross-function within the company. I can work well alone or with a team. Being diligent in my work, goal-oriented, keen on detail, resourceful, and equipped with a different set of skills and knowledge makes me an outstanding Virtual Assistant.

Over the years, understanding the culture and environment of the company is important, a good attitude and consistently giving your best, and being accountable for your work in all aspects is an important factor in achieving success.

Working at home is very different from being at an office, but is best for me and my family. I believe that time is one important factor I can give them, and by working at home, I am able to provide all this.

I aim to grow further with my career and learn more skills and knowledge along the way to better myself and apply them to both my work and life.

When I’m not working, I keep myself busy in the garden or learning on youtube new Canva tricks, photoshop, landscaping design, tiny homes, typography, logo design, motivation, and agri-culture to better myself and to be better at my job.
