Camille Kate Bacolod – General Virtual Assistant

Hi, my name is Camille Kate Bacolod, I prefer to be called Kate. I was born and raised in Dasmariñas City. I am the eldest among my siblings and I am the breadwinner. When I was in college, I took a Bachelor of Secondary Education but due to a lack of finances, I decided to start working.

Right after I turned 18, I started looking for a job. I started my career in 2015 and entered the BPO industry. I was skeptical as I have no idea how things really work. But along the way, I easily adjusted. My first role as a Customer Service Representative was supporting international clients with their cell phone billing, plans, and services and performing basic troubleshooting steps over the phone. Several years passed until I started to challenge myself and accepted the promotion to be a Mentor until to be a Supervisor and Trainer simultaneously. This kind of role definitely hit me at the core and is more challenging because you are not just supporting your customer, but you also must be accountable for the people in your team.

With the experience I had, I honed a lot of skills and learned new things that I never thought I could do. My communications skills improved a lot, I have gone through different Product Specific Training, Leadership Training that help me to grow professionally and personally, understand the culture and environment of the company, and the people I work with, and Administrative Tasks that exposed me to multiple tools and software to get my job done in a timely manner, to be independent with quality work, I started to be a goal-getter, improved my decision-making skill, and most importantly how to effectively communicate to people with respect and kindness which I think is the most important characteristic of an individual.

When the pandemic started, work from home option was the best option everyone could have until today. For me, working from home will be a great opportunity to spend more quality time with my family at the same time it’s cost-saving because you don’t have to spend money on commuting, parking, or buying lunch out. You also have the option of working in comfortable clothes.

My goal is to find a company that will allow me to perform at my best using my skills, experience, and knowledge and will help me grow professionally and personally.
