Beverly Sauro – Drafter and Graphic Designer
I am Maria Beverly Sauro. You can call me Bev or Beverly or any but not Maria because I am not that “lady-like” kind of a lady – so to speak. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to play with boy’s toys, especially cars. We have had an Auto Shop before and I always love to play outside and play with the real cars. I imagined things like drag racing or I just imagined anything with the car, imagining that I owned one. I was 6 or 7 years old at this time. My parents saved money and bought me a toy car on my birthday that I can ride on it that has a machine that will really work. But sadly, it did not last long since I dismantled it. I remembered using screwdrivers and pliers because I was too curious as to how it works. Since we have an Auto Shop, I followed what the guys do to the cars – dismantle and fix, so that’s what I did for my car. Unfortunately, I just dismantled it but did not fix it. My parents went very mad.
Now that I have grown up, I’ve always wanted to have my own car where I can have my parents ride in it. They made me ride my toy car and now it’s my turn, I will make them ride mine now. As my Mama always says, you should work hard, as hard as you can in order to achieve your goals in life. You can buy things you need and good food that you want to eat. That’s why I always strive hard and do what’s best so I can have a good and clean job and buy things I want to have and eat food that I want to eat. Luckily, I made it and have had a job ever since I graduated from college. Thank God.
Now that the pandemic has come, our company closed down and I was so devastated because many companies also went out of business and I found it hard to apply. But I have not given up. This is not the end of the world so as long as I live, I will always continue working for my future and for my family. I have to change careers or venture another just to survive and I can also provide for my family as much as I can, especially now that both of my parents are already retired and no more Auto Shop.
Right now, I am freelancing (AutoCAD Drafter -Architectural and Furniture, Graphic Designing). I always want to learn and be the best that I can. I also want to have a full-time job and I don’t want to waste any of my time. I want to dedicate my time in the company and focus on it.
I always love my job and what I have attained in life. I thank God and my family, of course, because I never give up and never will give up. I also hope that someday He will hear my prayers to achieve what I need now and make the best out of it.
