April Somera Osorio – Accounts Payable Specialist

Hello! My name is April Osorio and yes my birth month is April.

Born and raised in Manila by a hardworking driver and an awesome housewife/business women. I lived a simple life growing up. I am the middle child among three children. Despite being financially unstable, my parents raised us well and were able to send us to school until we finished college.

I love traveling, that’s why when my schedule (and budget ??) permits, I go on a vacation. I love to travel to see new places and also to experience different kinds of foods because I am a food lover as well. Whenever I’m on a trip I make sure that food tripping is always included in my itinerary. Another side of me is a home buddy, and when I’m at home I am the cook (food, still he he). I love to cook different kinds of dishes as well as making good desserts. I’m also into arts and crafts. I love transforming craft materials into something useful, mostly DIY’s.

I am a graduate of Business Administration major in Management from the Universidad de Manila. A month after I graduated I landed my first job in the corporate world. I was assigned to the Admin Department where the tasks were all administrative matters. I was with the company for one and a half years. After this, an opportunity from another company opened up to me, and I stayed there for 8 years as an Accounts Payable Analyst.

I also worked in another two companies under the same department. Being an Accounts Payable Specialist trained me well with different tasks, from the processing of invoices, issue resolution, customer service and to creating and analysing different reports.

In December 2017, while I was still in the corporate world, I decided to apply for a home-based job as a part-time Individual Contractor Freelancer. I also applied as a Data Entry Adjunct in May 2018. I managed to have a full-time job and a part-time job on the side since these were only project-based and I was able to do these during my spare time.

March of 2019 I decided to resign from the corporate world and pursue a full-time home-based job. I believe that my knowledge and skills acquired from my education combined with years of working can greatly help with the tasks assigned to me. I am comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and I firmly believe that your needs and my skills are an excellent match.
