My name is Annie Mendoza Hao, and my professional journey is a testament to my passion for creativity and continuous growth. From a young age, I was fascinated by art and design. I spent countless hours drawing, painting, and experimenting with colors, which eventually led me to pursue a career in graphic design. My early experiences with art were not just hobbies but the foundation of my future career. They instilled in me a deep appreciation for visual storytelling and the power of design to communicate ideas effectively.

After graduating with a degree in tourism management, I began my professional journey at Shopee. In this role, I focused on designing product listings, which provided me with valuable experience in applying design principles to real-world challenges. I learned the critical importance of creating visually appealing and accessible product displays. This experience was incredibly rewarding, as I saw firsthand how effective design could significantly enhance customer engagement and drive sales. The satisfaction of knowing that my designs could impact the online shopping experience was both motivating and fulfilling.

As I gained more experience, I expanded my expertise to include logo design. Crafting logos that encapsulated a brand’s identity became a passion of mine. I took joy in using vibrant colors and playful elements to create logos that felt both approachable and memorable. This aspect of my work allowed me to connect with various brands and contribute to their visual identities in meaningful ways. Each logo project was an opportunity to delve into the essence of a brand and translate it into a visual representation that resonated with its audience.

My journey also took me into the realm of online game design. This new challenge was both exciting and educational. Designing for games required a unique approach, balancing aesthetics with functionality to create engaging user experiences. I learned a great deal about interactive design, including how visual elements can enhance gameplay and contribute to a more immersive experience. This experience broadened my perspective and added a new dimension to my design skills.

Currently, I’m working on designing a flyer for a sale, aiming for a cute and attention-grabbing A4-sized layout. This project reflects my commitment to creating designs that not only look great but also effectively communicate their message. It’s an opportunity for me to apply my skills in a new context and ensure that the final product resonates with its intended audience.

In addition to these experiences, I’ve explored various other creative projects, including translation work and content creation. Each of these roles has contributed to my growth as a versatile professional. I’ve learned to adapt to different challenges and continuously refine my skills.
