My Life Story
Hi! I am Mary Angelene Granada. However, you can call me “Gelli” for short. I graduated from Jose Maria College in Davao City, Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
I took a pre-board exam in DCCPAR (Dysas Center for CPA Review) before our internship but I wasn’t able to take the CPA Board Exam after graduation because of financial problems. I’ve always wanted to take the CPA board exam though. I have experienced working at our congregation in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ as part-time Accounting Staff and at SM Supermarket in Lanang Branch as an Accounting Assistant. These experiences paved the way for me to learn the actual work of Accounting & Bookkeeping as well as a little bit of Auditing. I have also learned to use Accounting Systems/Software such as Quickbooks, SAP and Xero during my work in those different institutions including Alveo Land Corp.
At Alveo Land Corp., I have learned administrative tasks in a Real Estate Setting. These are double-checking and processing of After Sales Processes like Reservation, Booking and Titling of the Condominium Units. I have also encountered different before and after sales concerns through telephone, mobile phone and in-person approach by clients. I have a variety of tasks at Alveo which are also Data Entry through Excel and SAP.
After working at Alveo Land Corp, I tried entering the BPO Industry. This is where I have learned to be more efficient, productive and to multitask because you need to actively listen to the customer while taking notes and providing solutions to their concerns or issues on their devices. I have worked at Teleperformance for a Vodafone account. I also got to work as a Medical Biller for a small business in Ohio but through a BPO company which is Next BPO Solutions.
Before working as a Virtual Assistant in my recent employment, I have taken some free online courses especially Social Media Management, reviewing Xero software – the basics and navigation also and pretty much on the administrative side and bookkeeping. I am confident that I will be able to deliver the tasks effectively and efficiently that will be assigned to me. My work with Linked VA provided me with many learnings and gave me more knowledge on handling the tasks from a foreign client – particularly an Australian client.
