Andrei Nikko Delmo – Case Manager, Virtual Assistant

Hello, my name is Andrei Nikko Delmo, but you can simply call me Andrei. I am happily married with a wonderful kid. My journey began with a dream of becoming an engineer, a dream that came true when I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Malayan Colleges Laguna, and became a Licensed Mechanical Engineer in 2019. Little did I know that this path would lead me to discover another aspect of myself – a passion for serving others.

As I embarked on my career as a mechanical engineer, I found fulfillment in providing assistance and support to those around me. In 2019, I joined a top refrigerator manufacturer in the Philippines as a licensed engineer. As a Product Engineer, I oversaw the design and launch of new refrigerator products, ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the development process. I provided essential engineering support and collaborated closely with service and marketing teams to address concerns promptly.

As COVID-19 hit, my wife and I had to adapt to a new environment we never thought of, and that was working remotely. My wife was the one who first took the opportunity to work remotely after we had our first child in 2021. Then an opportunity for me came along to work remotely. It was not an easy decision to make since this is a new environment, and my line of work is not aligned with it. But I took a leap of faith and chose to work home-based for my family so that I could spend more of my time to help and look after our child as well. I never knew working from home could benefit not only me but also my family.

Surprisingly, it did not take long for me to adapt to a new and unknown environment. I started as an Operation Support Specialist wherein I built my experience through client engagement; providing administrative support, marketing promotions and sales, and acted as the first point of contact in the business. Driven with passion, I learned fast and harnessed the skills of providing exceptional support in the company. With the right attitude and discipline, I find myself equipped with various skills and knowledge needed as a Virtual Assistant.

As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities that have shaped me into who I am today. Transitioning from mechanical engineering to remote work as a Virtual Assistant was not without its challenges, but it was a decision driven by love for my family and a willingness to adapt to any kind of situation.”
