Alma Ventucillo – Administrative Assistant, Finance Management

alma-ventucillo-vaHi! I am Alma Ventucillo , you can call me Alma. I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful kids. I graduated with a degree in Office Administration from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. I am a hardworking mother balancing life and work through the years. Who would have thought I would come to the freelancing world where I could take care of my children and still earn money? I don’t need to queue in line to have a ride and ease the burden of long travelling and working in the comfort of my home.

I’ve been busy helping the company succeed all this time, and I considered the branch I managed my own. I have been a Branch Manager in one of the well-trusted money remittance companies in the Philippines (USSC/Western Union) for more than seventeen years. My tasks include managing operations, staff, and resources, delivering exceptional customer service, finance, hiring, training, coaching, reporting, scheduling, bank, and account reconciliation, encoding day-to-day expenses, and tracking company revenue. I’m a fast learner, reliable and good at multitasking, and I already have the necessary skills, qualities, and attributes as I am hard working and willing to learn new skills. I can work well within a team and as an individual to achieve goals. I can manage my time effectively and am eager to be flexible.

Then the pandemic came. I let go of my position due to the business struggling financially. While I liked the company, I realised that I wasn’t being challenged enough. Ultimately, it turned out to be a good thing since it has led me to pursue a role as a Virtual Assistant.

alma-ventucillo-vaI worked as an Administrative Assistant, wherein I helped build solid and profitable customer relationships through constant open and interactive communication. I increased customer response time by responding to a minimum of 50-200 customer inquiries with a 2-hour time limit. Created engaging content to generate an organic following and build an online community. Increased company sales by 50% through helpful product recommendations.

As a virtual assistant, my job’s overall goal is to help clients grow their businesses. I always want to provide as much value as possible and be a go-to person for information. To better serve them, be resourceful!

Truly experienced is the best teacher. I’m looking forward to learning more skills and knowledge to apply in my work and life and to becoming the best version of myself.
