Lugene Mae Olandag – Human Resource and Office Administration

lugene-mae-olandag-formalHi. My name is Lugene Mae Olandag from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.

I graduated Bachelor of Science in Food Technology in the year 2003. For 9 years, I worked as a food technologist or food quality controller. With so much pressure working in a food manufacturing plant, I decided to pursue another career by taking up Master in Management Major Human Resource Management. Luckily I was able to finish my graduate studies while working… with many sleepless days.

After 3 years I graduated with my masters and I decided to resign from the manufacturing plant and I was able to land a new job and a new career as a part time instructor in an educational institution. I took up again professional education subjects which helped me pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers.

For 6 years working in the said institution apart from being an instructor, I have performed multitasking and held different administrative positions from being the system coordinator, school registrar, human resource officer, accounting staff and performed other related administrative duties needed. I experienced a wide variety of administrative tasks which gave me the opportunity to learn and sharpen my computer skills.

Life has never been easy for me as I am always on a roller coaster ride. Struggling and surviving has been my daily routine. When my husband left me, it was my lugene-mae-olandag-casualgreatest disappointment and greatest fear – not that I am alone – but because he abandoned our two beautiful kids as well. In the absence of their father, my mothering role was doubled and it became my profession, my hobby and my life as well.

Time is very precious and I don’t want it to be wasted. I gave up my job because I accompany my youngest kindergarten child to school. Now I only do freelance jobs during my spare time.

My kids are my driving passion and motivating factor which able me to surpass all the challenges in life, be it at work or in my personal life. I am not a perfect person – that is why I have the desire to learn and are very open to new things and accept negative comments or suggestions that will help me become a much better person, for learning is a continuous process.

Looking forward to being able to work with and serve you.
