Fatima Jean Casareo – Social Media Manager
Hi, I’m Fatima but you can call me FATZ! Yes, It’s Fatz.
I’m a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. But guess what? I did not pursue programming.
I started working in a bank as a teller but I felt that the salary was not enough. That’s when I decided to work in a BPO Company. I got rejected so many times. I felt bad for myself but I did not give up. One time I was at a mall when I saw an ad that said, “We have an opening for a CSR Position”. I tried my luck and finally got hired! Woohoo!
Working in the BPO industry was not very satisfying for me and I felt that I wasn’t developing new skills. I did, however, gain self-confidence. I decided to leave the company to work as an English tutor with a Korean Academy. The downside of that was, the job was seasonal and I have a son that I needed to support 365 days a year. Again, things didn’t work out for me.
Finally, a company with a good compensation plan hired me as a Sales Executive! Tada! New role again but I’m a goal-oriented person and I work with integrity plus I’m a challenge seeker person. So within a year I was nominated as Top Agent. I got rewards and was transferred to a new department and excelled at my tasks. I was trained to handle the team. While the experience was overwhelming, I still wanted to look for a better opportunity that boosted my skills to the fullest.
I resigned and worked in a Singapore-based Company. I was a one-woman team I would say. That’s when I started working directly with our clients and technicians for appointment setting plus. I was doing Live chats, Email support, and inbound calls. I was enjoying my job, however things changed when the company did not register their business. It was scary!
I have been through a lot before I got successfully hired by an Australian Company as a VA. I saw their post that says ‘No VA Experience Required’. I thought, finally! a company that sees your potential without hesitation even if you don’t have experience! I worked as a Social Media Manager. I helped my client grow her business and get as many like-minded business people to join her circle.
My ideas are impeccable and I want to share my passion with my clients. I never stop learning, because I see myself as a leader and being a leader is not just one-day learning, it’s a continuous process. I want to show my client that I’m reliable and responsible for my own actions. I would love to help them.
