Florame M. Orlanes – Administrative Assistant, Lead Generation
Hello, my name is Florame M. Orlanes; you may refer to me as Flora. I am in my early thirties, and I have more than 8 years of experience in helping various kinds of customers. I began working in the BPO sector in 2015, but before that, I had already gained experience in various fields of work.
I began my job as a technical support agent at Sykes Asia. I was taught to manage various types of duties. My initial account with Sykes is in the telecommunications sector, where we assist customers in resolving internet problems. Following that, I was taught to help my colleagues with handling supervisory calls for a publishing account. My most recent account with Sykes involved providing food delivery in Australia. We help our clients via email, and we will issue refunds if they are unsatisfied with their purchases.
I departed from Sykes with many positive experiences and lessons. In 2019, I chose to submit an application to Transparent BPO because I was interested in expanding my knowledge and skills in making outbound calls. I got the job as a sales representative who makes calls to potential customers or as someone who schedules appointments. Initially, I didn’t think I could succeed in making outbound calls, but I find it very satisfying. I found it challenging because it was different from my previous job, but I was extremely willing to learn and work hard. As a result, I was recognised as one of the top performers every week and received a higher salary than I had expected. One day, our customer withdrew the account, and the team was disbanded. I had to search for a different job where I could use my skills and improve my ability to work with customers.
In February 2023, I got a job as a lead generation specialist. I am thankful for the chance the company offered me. I have gained a lot of new skills and knowledge that I believe will be beneficial for me in the future and can be added to my skill set. My client instructed me extensively in my job and supported me until I could perform it independently. We exchange thoughts on how to expand the business as they have just started their company in the US; we are both new to the tools and resources we have in the VA agency. It’s something unforgettable because I’ve gained a lot of experience, especially in this virtual assistant position. We perform investigations or oversee mining, make both incoming and outgoing phone calls, conduct email promotions using CRM, and also use our phone dialer, which allows us to send text messages and call our customers.
I now feel sure enough to tackle various kinds of jobs; I am open to gaining knowledge and contributing to the expansion of the business. I can handle multiple tasks and deal with objections, and I am excited about starting a new job as a virtual assistant.
