Irish Sacon – Property Management Virtual Assistant, Customer Service Representative

Hello! I am Irish Sacon, but you can call me Ish. I am a Christian believer and a solo backpacker who loves visual arts, architecture, nature, and animals. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Mindanao and took my postgraduate studies in Biology at the University of Southeastern Philippines. My ultimate dream is to travel from Asia to Europe by train with my backpack.

I began working at the age of 16 years old to sustain my undergraduate studies and daily needs by working as a kitchen and dining staff in a well-known Filipino fast food chain. Later on, an unexpected door opened for me to apply to a notable business process outsourcing company in the Philippines and my career in customer service started to thrive.

I began as a Customer Service Representative for a ride-sharing campaign, dealing with refunds, complaint management, and escalations. When the pandemic came, an opportunity in another company arose with the same role for a seasonal telecommunications campaign to deal with billing and sales. However, that experience was short-lived.

By the grace of God, I was transferred to another campaign in the same role where my skills in property management assistance began. Another heavenly blessing was given to me when I was promoted to Training Specialist, handling multiple training sessions, managing classroom duties, and accomplishing several accolades. Working remotely is not something that has crossed my mind as I was able to adapt to working on-site, not until I was diagnosed with endometriosis, an incurable reproductive disease. Since then, I decided to take a leap of faith and sought the comfort of working from home.

Throughout my journey in working under property management companies, I learned relevant skills in leasing support and resident services specifically in application processing, applicant screening, move-in processing, rent collections, maintenance, utilities, renewals, onboarding, and move-out processing. I was also exposed to administrative duties such as client-facing, email auditing, data entry, product training, classroom management, and agent coaching.

In terms of my work ethic, I deliver my output with quality and integrity, I am flexible and open to new learnings with any given task, I am accountable and transparent with my superiors, and I can work independently or collaborate with a team. As an employee, I always strive hard to be humble, diligent, proactive, curious, reliable, and resourceful to meet the daily work goals required to satisfy the client’s business needs. I also value the importance of a good attitude in the work environment. Talents and skills can be learned and taught, but are entirely useless if a moral compass is absent within oneself.

My vision is to improve my career and skills by increasing my knowledge and experiences to serve the people around me and contribute to the success of any business I will be part of. I am hopeful that this vision will be manifested with the freedom and comfort of working from home.
